Witches’ Brew Fizz

A bright, foamy lime punch that bubbles like a cauldron—kid-friendly, party-ready, and endlessly sippable. Pile on the gummy worms for instant Halloween magic.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 2 cups pineapple juice, chilled
  • ½ cup lime sherbet (for foam) — add more for thicker froth
  • Green food coloring (optional for extra glow)
  • Gummy worms for garnish
  • Optional add-ins: lime slices, frozen grapes, or ice ring

This is a non-alcoholic party punch that feels special for kids and designated drivers. Set out a “potion bar” with fun cups and striped straws.

Directions

  1. Chill everything: Cold ingredients keep the fizz lively and the sherbet from melting too fast.
  2. Mix: In a punch bowl, combine the lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice. If you want a deeper hue, stir in a drop or two of green food coloring.
  3. Foam it up: Gently stir in the lime sherbet until the top gets foamy and cloud-like.
  4. Garnish & serve: Drape gummy worms over the rim and ladle into cups. Refresh with more sherbet as the foam settles.

For self-serve parties, keep extra chilled soda and sherbet in the fridge so you can rebuild the “cauldron clouds” every 20–30 minutes.

Party Variations

  • Swamp Fizz: Use blue raspberry drink + a drop of green to get teal “swamp water,” still add lime sherbet.
  • Vampire Fizz (red): Swap pineapple juice for cranberry and use raspberry sherbet; garnish with black licorice bats.
  • Glowing effect: Serve under a blacklight next to our Glow Tonic for a full neon moment (that one glows thanks to quinine in tonic water!).
  • Adult-only option: Set a separate station with chilled vodka or prosecco for guests to spike individual cups—never the main punch bowl so the kids’ version stays NA.

Make-Ahead & Serving

  • Combine juice + soda in the bowl up to 30 minutes ahead; keep refrigerated. Add sherbet right before serving.
  • Scale for a crowd: double or triple in a beverage dispenser; scoop sherbet into pre-frozen balls and add as guests arrive.
  • Dairy-free: use a dairy-free lime sorbet for the same foamy look.
