Salted Honey Mug Cake
Salted Honey Mug Cake
A warm, golden honey cake made right in your mug—soft, buttery, and finished with a sprinkle of flaky salt to balance the sweetness.
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour (¼ cup)
- 3 tbsp sugar
- ⅛ tsp baking powder
- Pinch fine salt
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- To finish: Flaky sea salt
Melt tip: Let melted butter cool 20–30 seconds before mixing so it doesn’t scramble the batter.
Step-by-Step
- Stir dry. In a 12–14 oz microwave-safe mug, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Whisk wet. Add milk, melted butter, honey, and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
- Microwave. Cook on HIGH 60–70 seconds (adjust for your wattage) until set at the edges and gently springy in the center.
- Finish. Rest 1–2 minutes. Drizzle with a touch more honey and sprinkle with flaky salt.
