  • 2 tbsp strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tbsp caramel sauce, plus more to drizzle
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
Mug size: Use a 12–14 oz microwave-safe mug to prevent overflow as the cake rises.

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix dry. In the mug, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Whisk wet. Stir in milk, coffee, oil, caramel sauce, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Microwave. Cook on HIGH ~65 seconds (60–80 sec depending on wattage) until set at edges with a few moist spots on top.
  4. Finish. Rest 1–2 minutes; drizzle with extra caramel and serve warm.
