Purple Hocus Pocus Punch in a glass with gummy worms, candles and witch hats in the background

Hocus Pocus Punch

A 3-ingredient, bright-violet mocktail that fizzes like magic—grape juice and lemonade topped with sparkling water and a tangle of gummy worms. Non-alcoholic, party-friendly, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 100% grape juice, well chilled
  • 1 cup lemonade, chilled
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda, very cold
  • Gummy worms, for serving
  • Optional: ice, lemon slices, a pinch of edible glitter for sparkle

Keeping everything extra cold makes the bubbles last longer and the color pop.

Directions

  1. Mix the base: In a pitcher, stir together the grape juice and lemonade. Chill if time allows.
  2. Fizz: Just before serving, gently pour in the sparkling water. Do not stir too vigorously—keep those bubbles!
  3. Serve: Add ice to glasses, divide punch, and drop a few gummy worms into each cup.

Party tip: For a “cauldron” effect, set the punch bowl inside a larger bowl with a little dry ice and warm water around it. Fog should stay outside the drink—do not place dry ice in cups or ingest.

Variations

  • Sorcerer’s Slush: Blend the base with ice; top with a splash of soda.
  • Spellbound Sherbet: Add mini scoops of lemon or lime sherbet to each glass.
  • Black Cat: Swap half the grape juice for blackberry juice for a deeper hue.
  • Cauldron Sparkles: Stir in a pinch of edible luster dust for a swirling, magical look.

Make-Ahead & Storage

  • Mix grape + lemonade up to 2 days ahead; keep chilled.
  • Add sparkling water right before serving for best fizz.
  • Leftovers: the bubbles fade, but the punch is still tasty within 1 day.
