"Candy Corn" Drink

Candy Corn Drink
A kid-friendly, non-alcoholic layered sip that looks like candy corn—orange base, sunny yellow middle, and a fluffy white “tip.” Party-perfect and ridiculously easy.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup mango nectar or orange juice concentrate, thawed (heaviest = best orange base)
- ¾ cup pineapple juice, very cold
- ½ cup lemon-lime soda or club soda, very cold (for the pale “white” layer)
- Whipped cream for the candy-corn “tip”
- Garnish: a few candy corn pieces or orange sanding sugar (optional)
Layering works because heavier, sweeter liquids sink and lighter bubbly ones float. Ice also helps keep layers separate.
Directions
- Chill everything: Cold liquids layer better. Fill two clear glasses with ice to the top.
- Orange layer: Divide the mango nectar between glasses.
- Yellow layer: Slowly pour the pineapple juice over the back of a spoon so it glides over the ice and sits on top.
- White layer: Repeat with the lemon-lime soda (pour gently). The bubbles lighten the top.
- Finish: Crown with a swirl of whipped cream. Garnish with 1–2 candy corn pieces and serve immediately.
If the layers blend a bit—no worries. It still tastes like a creamsicle-meets-pineapple soda and looks festive.
Party Tips & Variations
- Pitcher for a crowd: Pre-mix equal parts pineapple juice + lemon-lime soda for the yellow/white pour. Keep nectar in a separate pitcher for the base.
- Creamsicle vibe: Swap soda for vanilla cream soda or add a splash of half-and-half before the whipped cream.
- Dairy-free: Use coconut whipped topping.
- Grown-ups (21+): Optional splash of vanilla vodka in the yellow layer. Keep a clearly labeled kid-only pitcher, too.
Make-Ahead & Storage
- Best made to order so layers stay crisp.
- Chill juices up to 24 hours in advance; assemble just before serving.
- For outdoor parties, freeze pineapple juice in cubes—doubles as ice and preserves the yellow layer.
