Bat Oreo Truffles

No bake Oreo truffles dipped in chocolate, finished with candy eyes and mini Oreo “wings.” Adorable, bite sized, and perfect for Halloween trays.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14–15 oz) package Oreos
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups chocolate candy melts (or melting wafers)
  • Candy eyes
  • Mini Oreo cookies, split into halves (for wings)

Pro tip: Chill rolled balls 20–30 minutes before dipping for a smooth finish.

Directions

  1. Make the filling: Pulse Oreos in a processor to fine crumbs. Mix with cream cheese until a soft dough forms.
  2. Roll & chill: Scoop 1 Tbsp portions, roll into balls, and chill 20–30 minutes.
  3. Dip: Melt candy melts per package. Dip each ball, letting excess drip off; set on parchment.
  4. Decorate: While still tacky, press on candy eyes and stick in two mini Oreo halves as wings. Let set.

Storage: Keep refrigerated up to 5 days or freeze (undecorated) up to 1 month.

Flavor Ideas

  • Mint bats: Use mint Oreos and top with a tiny mint leaf.
  • Sprinkle finish: Dust with dark sprinkles before set for a fuzzy “bat” look.

Make Ahead

  • Roll balls a day ahead; dip and decorate right before the party.
  • For firmer wings, gently scrape cream from mini Oreos so halves adhere better.
