Toasted Marshmallow Latte
A cozy café-style latte sweetened with caramel and crowned with toasty marshmallows. Five minutes to pure comfort.
Ingredients
- 1 cup hot strong coffee (or 1–2 shots espresso + hot water to 1 cup)
- ½ cup steamed milk (dairy or oat/almond)
- 1 Tbsp caramel syrup (or 2–3 tsp to taste)
- 3 large marshmallows (or a handful of minis)
Tip: For extra café vibes, foam a little of the milk and spoon it on top before adding marshmallows.
Directions
- In a large heatproof mug, combine the hot coffee, steamed milk, and caramel syrup; stir to blend.
- Top with marshmallows and toast until golden using a kitchen torch, or place briefly under a hot broiler until lightly charred.
Safety first: If broiling, set the mug on a baking sheet and watch constantly—20–30 seconds is plenty.
Tips & Variations
- Iced version: Use chilled strong coffee, skip steaming, and serve over ice; toast marshmallows separately and float on top.
- Dairy-free: Oat milk froths beautifully; use vegan marshmallows.
- Less sweet: Reduce caramel to 2 tsp or swap for 1–2 tsp maple syrup.
- S’mores twist: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers over the toasted marshmallows.
