Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
Creamy, classic hot cocoa you can keep in the pantry or gift in jars. Just add hot milk or water!

- ½ cup powdered sugar (≈60 g)
- ¼ tsp fine sea salt
- Optional: 1–2 tsp cornstarch for extra silky cocoa
Directions
- Mix. Whisk dry milk, cocoa, powdered sugar, salt (and cornstarch if using) until uniform. Break up any lumps. For super-fine texture, pulse in a food processor 10–15 seconds.
- Jar. Transfer to a clean, dry, airtight jar. Label with serving directions.
- Serve. For each mug, whisk 3 Tbsp mix into 1 cup hot milk (or water) until smooth. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Gift it: Layer with mini marshmallows and tie on a tag: “Mix 3 Tbsp with 1 cup hot milk or water.”
