Spiced Holiday Chai Latte Mix

A cozy blend of black tea, milk powder, sugar, and warming spices—just add hot water for instant comfort.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • ½ cup non-dairy creamer
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp instant tea (black or decaf)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom

Optional spice boost: Pinch of nutmeg, ground cloves, or black pepper for extra warmth.

Directions

  1. Blend. Combine all ingredients in a bowl or food processor and mix until fine and uniform.
  2. Jar it. Transfer to an airtight container and label with serving instructions.
  3. To serve. Stir 2 Tbsp mix into 1 cup (8 oz) hot water until smooth. For richer chai, use hot milk or half water/half milk.

Iced chai: Dissolve mix in 2–3 Tbsp hot water, add cold milk, then pour over ice.

Notes & Gifting

  • Shelf life: Store sealed in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.
  • Sweetness: Adjust by adding 1–2 extra teaspoons sugar to the jar if you prefer sweeter sips.
  • Make it dairy-free: Replace powdered milk with a dairy-free coconut/soy milk powder.
  • Gift idea: Pack in an 8 oz jar (about 10 servings) with a cinnamon stick and a tag: “2 Tbsp per 8 oz hot water.”
