Blood Orange Rosemary Fizz
Blood Orange Rosemary Fizz
Bright, citrusy, and gently herbal—this sparkling sipper comes together in minutes and looks stunning in the glass.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh blood orange juice
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or simple syrup, to taste
- 1 small rosemary sprig (plus more to garnish)
- 3–4 oz (90–120 ml) club soda or sparkling water, chilled
- Ice
- Optional balance: 1 tsp lemon juice if your oranges are very sweet
Directions
- Wake the herbs: Lightly clap the rosemary sprig between your palms to release aroma; add to a tall glass.
- Add blood orange juice, maple (or simple) syrup, and lemon juice if using. Stir to dissolve.
- Fill the glass with ice. Top with chilled club soda and give a gentle stir to combine without knocking out bubbles.
- Garnish with an extra rosemary sprig or a thin blood orange wheel. Serve immediately.
Tips & Variations:
- Make-ahead: Mix juice + sweetener up to 24 hours in advance. Add ice and soda just before serving.
- Rosemary syrup option: Simmer 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup sugar + 2 rosemary sprigs for 5 minutes; cool and strain (keeps 2 weeks).
- Pitcher for 6: 3 cups juice · 2–4 tbsp syrup (to taste) · 1–2 tbsp lemon · 1 liter soda. Build over ice, stir gently.
- Less sweet: Use sparkling water instead of club soda and skip added sweetener.
